Buying a membership (upgrade) in AdventureQuest Worlds is a huge milestone, whether it's your first time or you're a returning player looking to relive the nostalgia. But standard memberships don't last forever, so efficiency is key.
If you want to get the absolute maximum value out of your money before your membership expires—including items you can keep even after becoming a non-member again—this checklist is for you.
1. High-Priority Grinds (Do These First!)
These are the most important end-game items that either require Membership or become 10x easier while upgraded:

Sepulchure’s DoomKnight Armor (SDKA):
- Why: This is the #1 reason players buy membership. SDKA drastically speeds up the grind for Necrotic Sword of Doom (NSoD) later on.
- Note: The armor itself remains usable and equippable even after your membership expires!

- Why: Members get access to exclusive daily/fast quests in
/join nexusthat make farming the DragonBlade significantly easier.

Chrono Assassin Class:
- Why: An excellent dodge class that is completely member-locked to obtain, but tagged as Non-Member once in your inventory, meaning you keep it forever!
2. Daily Member Routine (5–10 Minutes Daily)
Log in every day to claim your free member perks before the server reset:
- Wheel of Doom Double Spin: Members get 2 free spins instead of 1 every day.
- Free Magic Keys: Visit Cleric Joy in
/join tavernto claim 1 Free Magic Treasure Chest Key daily. - Free Server Boosts: Claim your daily free 1-hour XP/Gold/Rep/Class Boosts from Ragbolt in
/join battleon. - Daily Void Auras: Do the member-only quest "Commanding Shadows" for free Daily Void Auras toward NSoD.
3. Fast-Track Reputations & Classes
Take advantage of member-only quests or shortcuts to max out reputations that unlock powerful classes:
- Legendary Elemental Warrior: Buy it from the Curio shop in
/join curiofor gold. - BeastMaster Class: A solid soloing/dodge class obtained in
/join northpointe. - Deathknight Lord: A legendary tank class obtainable only via member daily quests.
- Fast Rep Farming: Take advantage of member-exclusive zones like
/join honorhallor/join nightmareto farm EXP and Rep at hyper-speed.
4. House Items, Badges & Nostalgia
- Exclusive Character Page Badges: Make sure to unlock achievement badges like Upholder (if upgraded during October), SkyGuard, and specific storyline badges.
- NostalgiaQuest: If your account is over 8 years old AND you have (or had) a membership, go to your Book of Lore to unlock
/join nostalgiaquestfor classic-style legacy gear and Dual-wield weapons. - Member-Only Houses: Buy member-exclusive houses (like the Shattered Legendary House or Skyguard Keep) with gold.
5. Before Your Membership Expires Checklist ⚠️
Before the timer runs out on your upgrade, make sure you double-check these items:
- Equip and bank your Member gear: Any item tagged "Non-Member" stays usable forever. Items tagged "Member" cannot be equipped after your upgrade ends, but you keep them stored.
- Finish SDKA: Make sure you complete the main SDKA quest line so you never have to re-subscribe just to finish it.
- Open all Treasure Chests: Burn through all the Magic Keys you gathered from Cleric Joy.
